A traditional-style handcrafted kitchen with modern functionality has transformed a dark, underutilised room in this elegant historic home.
Through thoughtful reconfiguration, we created a tranquil kitchen that opens to the courtyard, a boot room, and a utility room — perfectly tailored to our client’s modern lifestyle. The organic colour palette maximises the natural light flooding in from the courtyard, bouncing light around the room while seamlessly blending with the property’s period features.
A pre-existing AGA cooker framed by a chimney mantle became a striking focal point of the new open-concept kitchen, which connects effortlessly with the dining area and charming courtyard through glazed doors. Tall units frame the mantle, setting the scene for an island with an oak-topped bar for two and a Bora hob that encourages sociable cooking, allowing the conversation to flow naturally between the kitchen and the adjacent dining area.
Another bespoke addition to this handcrafted Teddy Edwards kitchen is a pocket-door coffee unit, which ensures a clutter-free, functional space. The redesigned layout enhances daily living, creating an inviting environment for celebrations and hosting family and friends.
