Welcome to Kitchen Architecture - Brasenose Farm, Oxford
We create exceptional kitchens and living spaces designed around you. Over twenty years of design expertise has taught us that every kitchen is unique and starts with a conversation. In 2019 we purchased a derelict farm on the outskirts of Oxford and lovingly converted it into our permanant Oxford home. With its traditional farmhouse, threshing barn, cow shed and courtyard laid out as individual living spaces - see our kitchens perform at their best in a space that feels like home.
You'll leave with more ideas than you arrived with, we’d love to see you in person and there’s no need to book an appointment.
Design is a process of absolute transparency. Our experience is built around you, ensuring every decision is intentional and every detail is flawless. We study life first, so that the precision of engineering and the soul of craftsmanship guide every step of our partnership.
We are designers and consultants, overseeing every aspect of your new space, a skill built on decades of trust.

The old farmhouse is steeped in history, once the home of XXX now lovingly restored retaining it's original features blended with modern additions. Inside it's the home of bulthaup, experience how the clean timeless design of bulthup fits perfectly in a tradition setting, looking at home here as it would in a contemporary city dwelling.
The Hayloft introduces our systemKA kitchen range in a contemporaty paired back design nestled amoung the beams of this converted loft. Underneeth the former cowshed is fitted with our traditionaly English Teddy Edwards range balanced with it's contemportay additions from island seating to home bar, leading out to the courtyard with it's Pizza oven. and outdoor kitchen.
See how two very different kitchen aesthetics, from the contemporary to the traditional fit seamlesslety within the same architecture.

Former stables make for great spaces to house a kitchen and entertaining space, large doors and windows lead into the coutyard where inside blends seamlessly to out.
Here the systemKA kitchen is an example of blending materials and finishes to create a space that feels as if the building was designed around the kitchen, not the other way around.
The cathedral like space where the architecture confidently yet quietly does the talking. Once the theatre for harvests, the separation of the wheat from the chaff has now become the stage for supper. With one side of the barn displaying a classic contemporary bulthaup double island, the other our traditional Engish Goodwood Kitchen, part of our Teddy Edwards range.
In the middle, between the two, a large bulthaup table where we gather friends and clients for our Supper Clubs and other community events.

The former workshop and machinary store, now a space to explore our whole home collection, from wardrobes, dressing rooms, screens & room divers to Agape's luxury bathing. On display is the Italian Rimadessio collection, masters of metal and glass across the home alongside our handmade wardrobes and furniture from our UK based workshop.
Come and join one of our Supper Club and Chef's Table dinners, hosted across all four design dentres. In Primrose Hill they happen in the basement, which behaves like a members' club after dark: low light, a chef cooking a few feet from the table, drinks chosen with some thought, and conversation that runs long.
It's a good way to meet people who care about design and about how they live, attracting architects, interior designers, landscapers and local property owners alike.

We'd rather you came to see us, experinece first-hand and leave with our brochure, but ordering our free design brochure is the next best thing. Inside you'll find kitchens and whole home projects from across the UK and beyond. Find a quiet half hour and let your imagination loose.
