Welcome to Kitchen Architecture, Putney
We bought the Putney site in 2009: two separate shops on Lower Richmond Road, which we combined before digging out a lower ground floor. We then bought two houses in the street behind and rebuilt them as show homes. You don't just look at kitchens here. You walk through houses with them in. No appointment needed. You're welcome anytime. Every kitchen starts with a conversation. Have one while you're here, or just have a coffee and a look round.
Every kitchen we design starts with how you live: who does the cooking, who ends up perched at the counter, what a busy weekday morning looks like. The design comes from that, and one team looks after it all the way through, from first sketch to final fitting. You can see the result here, in the showroom and the houses. Walk through a few rooms, open a few drawers, and see which it feels like home.

Our Putney showroom is a large, light-filled space on Putney's Lower Richmond Road, a short walk from the river. We've been bulthaup specialists for more than 24 years, and it shows in the detail: the proportions, the materials, the engineering.
Nothing here is for display only. These are working Kitchen Architecure kitchens, which come to life on supper club nights with a chef at the island cooking for a full table.
Pop down the stairs to below street level and there's more bulthaup to see, with the same authentic materials and precision engineering in quite different settings.
One room is dedicated to b2, the bulthaup furniture that took the kitchen off the wall and put it in the middle of the room. Every island since owes it something.

Beside the main showroom, off Farlow Road, is something you might not expect. What was once a garage is now a two-storey house, built around a central courtyard, dug out from the ground up. It's a complete Kitchen Architecture home, fitted throughout in our own systemKA range. Not a display, but a house you could well imagine living in.
A few doors along, in a mews building, is a second house. It's laid out as a whole home and furnished in our traditional English Teddy Edwards range, with wardrobes, home offices and home bar. A handcrafted kitchen, too.
After dark, the table fills and the house takes on a different character.

Come to one of our Supper Club and Chef's Table dinners, hosted across all four design centres. In Putney, they're held across the site, sometimes in the main showroom and sometimes in one of our houses, where the light is softly dimmed, a chef preparing an unforgettable feast a few feet from the table, handpicked drinks, and good conversation.
It's a good way to meet people who care about design and about how they live. Architects, interior designers, landscapers and local homeowners all come along.
We'd rather you came to see us, but if you can't, our brochure is the next best thing. Inside are kitchens and whole-home projects from across the UK and beyond. Find a quiet half-hour and let your imagination wander.

We make our traditional English furniture in our own workshop in Wembley, north-west London. That covers the Teddy Edwards kitchens, the wardrobes and the artisan elements in systemKA.
Because we make it ourselves, we can build one-off pieces to fit a particular space, rather than working around what's available.
