There is something that happens when a person moves through a well-made, handcrafted kitchen. The hand trails along a door front; there is a pause at the grain of the wood, a palm laid flat against the stone to register its temperature. The body reads the room before the mind has formed an opinion.
Pembrey is our own bespoke kitchen furniture range, designed and made by hand in our West London workshop. It’s inspired by timeless Scandinavian kitchen design, but handmade and flexible too. It’s available in no fewer than 16 stains: from pared-back and pale to deep, darkened oak. Choose one or more materials, as seen here. Pembrey moves to meet you, to greet you and to hold space for you from your morning coffee to your nightly kitchen rhythm.
Period properties and new buildings receive it equally well, whether your home is old or new. Here, in the historic stable block of our sympathetically restored farmstead, Brasenose Farm in Oxford, dramatic veined stone and burnished brass turn it into an atmospheric and grounded kitchen-living space. Imagine how it could look in a contrasting material or a more modern home. Even in yours, exactly how you like it.
Could you live with Pembrey for the years to follow? Pop in to our design centre and run a hand along the grain, and you will feel why these kitchens age gracefully and last a lifetime. The wood, the stone, the wine storage. Take notes and notice how it leaves you feeling.
