A family kitchen alive with colour and craft in a reimagined 1960s house in St John’s Wood. You can almost hear the laughter when the young family of five gathers around the island, and the peace in those (perhaps rare) quiet moments as the coffee brews or the wine chills.
Designed in collaboration with Clifton Interiors and Studio MR, the kitchen forms part of a redesigned and extended ground floor, also home to the dining area, formal living room, TV room and office.
While the architectural backdrop provides a calm, light-filled stage, the System KA cabinetry introduces rich, tactile energy through a confident selection of materials and saturated colour.
The island takes centre stage, finished in a bespoke NCS lacquer matched to a moody grey-blue hue and paired with a Bianco Eclipsia natural stone worktop. The lighter cabinetry features Stone laminate, balanced by the warmer, vertical texture of oak square fluted doors.
Your eye is drawn to the glazed tiles that flow from the kitchen splashback towards the garden, creating a seamless connection between inside and out. As the light changes, the colours shift from deep teal to vivid green and back again.
This is a timeless kitchen. A keeper of memories that will grow alongside the family over the years, ageing in the most endearing way.

Oak square fluted doors introduce a tangible texture to the System KA cabinetry. This vertical rhythm provides a warm, tactile counterpoint to the neutral stone laminate, ensuring the units feel grounded and detailed.
The island, finished in a bespoke lacquer matched to the moody depths of Inchyra Blue, serves as the beating heart of the home. It shifts in character with the light, bridging the house’s 1960s heritage with a vibrant, contemporary family spirit.
