Welcome to Kitchen Architecture in Cheshire
In 2017, we bought the farmhouse at The Colony, just outside Wilmslow, and made it our permanent home in Cheshire. We design kitchens and living spaces around the people who'll use them, and 24 years have taught us that every one of them starts with a conversation. Come and see us just off Altrincham Road in Wilmslow. There's no need to book, and no one will hurry you. You'll leave with more ideas than you arrived with.
We study life first: how you cook, where people gather, what really goes on in the room. Only then do the engineering and the craftsmanship come in. We design and oversee every part of the project, so you deal with one team from the first conversation to the final fitting.
Seeparated into zones, the ground floor runs from the contemporary handleless designs of our systemKA range through to the traditional English, in-frame and shaker kitchens of Teddy Edwards.
You'll find pantries, home bars, coffee stations, wardrobes and home storage all on this floor. Out in the courtyard, there's a Röshults outdoor kitchen with a grill, pizza oven and a roof, so it can be enjoyed whatever the weather.
The whole first floor is home to bulthaup, both b3 and b2 furniture. You'll find two quintessentially Kitchen Architecture kitchens here, one with a single island and one with a double island, which is the clearest way to see how flow shapes the way a room is used.
From Germany, bulthaup has been making kitchens since 1949, and the hand-finished detail and precision engineering give these kitchens enduring appeal.
Step out back and the courtyard is set up for alfresco cooking and entertaining. Here, you'll see a Röshults grill island with its own prep station and sink, and the professional pizza oven beside it. Alongside Röshults, Cane-line turns an outdoor kitchen into an outdoor living space.
On supper club evenings in Cheshire, this is where the night ends up.

Our traditional English furniture is made here in the UK, in our own workshop in Wembley. That's the Teddy Edwards kitchens, the wardrobes, and the artisan elements in systemKA.
Having our very own workshop, with time-served craftspeople, means we can make one-off pieces to fit a particular space, rather than working round what's available.

Come and join one of our Supper Club and Chef's Table dinners, hosted across all four design centres. In Cheshire they happen on the first floor, which behaves like a members' club after dark: low light, a chef cooking a few feet from the table, drinks chosen with some thought, and conversation that runs long.
It's a good way to meet people who care about design and about how they live, attracting architects, interior designers, landscapers and local property owners alike.
